Cultivator is an alternative art exhibitions program whose mission is to connect, provide exposure, and offer exhibitions to the diversity of artists in the Chicago area. It features emerging and established artists with an emphasis on underrepresented artists. We believe in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) .
We are honored to announce our participation in the inaugural 2026-2027 LoganArts cohort. Piloted by the Reva and David Logan Foundation, LoganArts provides a grant, professional development, and community to small arts organizations. We are excited to collaborate with the other inaugural cohort members to develop, test and refine the model. Congratulations to the other organizations selected for doing bold, innovative work: Asian American Arts Chicago, ACRE, AnySquared Projects, boundary, BRIDGE, Comfort Station, Compound Yellow, Crossing Borders Music, ILA Creative Studio, New Channels Initiative, Poor Farm Experiment, SWOP Chicago, The Story Theatre, Walls Turned Sideways, and Wild Yams. A special note of gratitude to our new fiscal sponsor, Roman Susan.
Cultivator is a proud recipient of the Artists Run Chicago Fund. Through this generous donation, we are able to provide a location, support, publicity, and a modest stipend to the artists. All our efforts are done without a commission or payment. It is a true labor of love for art and the community.
Art exhibitions have been shown in Chicago spaces and on Bray Grove Farm, 65 miles southwest of the city. To further enrich the community, area artists and other venues are highlighted through posts on Instagram and Facebook.
