Kim Piotrowski - Have and Hold

Solo Exhibition - Cultivator at Bray Grove Farm

Sunday, October 13, 2019, 2-5pm

Cultivator is pleased to present Kim Piotrowski's outdoor exhibition, Have and Hold during Bray Grove Farm's Autumn Farm Day. Have and Hold is part of the international art event, the Terrain Biennial.

With her lyrical brush strokes, Piotrowski utilizes the farm setting to further explore scale and materials. She combines a limited color palette with the environment, featuring a grand site-specific 152-foot painting wrapped around the windbreak treesand a pathway of paintings through the farm field.

Piotrowski writes:

This project investigates our human instinct to be caretakers. Whether with land, relationships, children or things, it is how we find meaning and purpose. Bray Grove Farm is a small, private organic effort in a sea of agribusinesses in the area. It is hands on, hard, and beautiful. "Have and Hold" is a visual effort to create a conversation to the place, activity and beauty of Bray Grove Farm.

In addition, we will be featuring films by Eric Scott Fisher in our unfinished attic space.

Please rsvp and join us on Sunday, October 13th from 2-5pm for art and conversation along with a tour of the farm. Bray Grove Farm is located 70 miles southwest of Chicago in Grundy County. To confirm your attendance and receive directions and parking information, email.
